This is a sticky post.
It’s no secret; we love short stories here at Kinna Reads. There have been comments, in response to Short Mondays, from bloggers and readers who don’t share my enthusiasm for the genre. Can you imagine ;)? It got me wondering on how many people love, like or are just plain ambivalent about the genre. Hence the poll:
Thanks for voting.
The only short stories I tend to read are ones people have recommended, my husband reads them loads and is always on the lookout for new books.

I love short stories. But I also love big, chunky novels.

I’m like Ana! lol Last year, I was much better at reading individual short stories randomly online…this year, I’ve barely done that at all. But I do enjoy collections. 😀

I like short stories a lot, but I’ve neglected them horribly lately. I should do something about that.

I had to vote that they are Okay, but based on your recommendation I do have more on my wish list to try. Although I read them only rarely, I have loved a number of the small amount I have read. I suppose you could say that there is hope for me yet!

I don’t generally read short stories, but I haven’t tried enough of them to say I dislike or hate them, so I picked the middle option. I’m going to give a few of your suggestions a try and see what I feel about short stories then.

I’m afraid I’m not a fan of short stories – not sure I’d go as far as saying I hate them, but that was the nearest option for me. I am even finding that shorter books are not satisfying my desire for the complex plots I love. I’d prefer to read a 500 page brick than a 5 page short any day!
