So the book slam turned out to be quite the jam! A big thank you to the African Women’s Development Fund and Alliance Francaise for choosing to celebrate the 2013 edition of International Women’s Day in this manner. AWDF’s Theo Sowah said her organization wants ” to celebrate the strength of African women, the creativity of African women”. And that the arts are crucial to the feminist struggle for equity on the continent. Feminism+Art=Win.
